Yes, Pilates was originally developed in the early 20th century by a boxer and gymnast named Joseph Pilates. In fact, the method was created to train athletes and recovering soldiers.

Pilates will complement your existing workouts whether they are running, biking, or weight-lifting, and improve your posture and muscle structure, making you quicker, leaner, stronger, and your workouts outside of our studio more explosive.

We employ a contemporary modern approach rooted in a classic time-proven methodology while incorporating the latest understanding of physical therapy techniques.

What Makes a good Pilates Class?

Pilates is an incredibly intricate practise the benefits both your physical and mental wellbeing. It improves posture, balance, flexibility, and muscle strength.

Its unique because the variety and number of exercises within the system’s repertoire that allows an instructor to choose specific exercises to suit the clients individual needs. the smallest modifications can make all the difference. In each class we focus on core strength, flexibility, posture and toning with repetitive small movements that engage each muscle group.  You end up with longer leaner muscles in less time than a traditional Pilates Matwork class.

We are a boutique studio with 13 reformers and cardio tramps, one-on-one attention in each class in the Templestowe and Doncaster area.
